The downtown Juneau public library can be reached outside of the building, however inside the connection to the internet is mediocre. When you initially connect go to any website it appears that they redirect port 80 to a local service which when you agree to their policies(policies no porn, spam, general stuff) and click accept it appears to open everything up. The address space is a 10.x.x.x network (will have to update later with more information). Standard nocatsplash things going on here. Port 25 outbound is blocked because of people with virii infected laptops spamming the world. So it's web-based email only.

There is a network jack in the main conference room that is available as well which allows anyone to connect with no restrictions however I believe it is mainly for events. --Oops, that wasn't supposed to be an active port. It's no longer availiable, sorry. Electricity=yes, hard-wired network drops=no.

There is a large range of public available computers which during tourist season are generally always full, but if you go in during off hours seem to be available. Also, feel free to sit on the floor outside the elevators and use the wireless network before the library opens (elevators generally are turned on at 8:00am)
